A path into prosthodontics

Dr. Pooya earned his DDS from Tehran University, completed a research fellowship at UCLA, and went on to advanced specialty education and an MS in prosthodontics at Loma Linda University.

A commitment to learning

Loma Linda University identifies him as a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. His master's research focused on 3D printing and CAD/CAM technology for removable partial dentures.

Research and teaching

His Loma Linda faculty profile describes published articles and book chapters in implant dentistry and prosthodontics. The university also lists him as an assistant professor. His research profile includes work on digital denture frameworks, implant restorations, and dental materials.

Memberships and experience

The practice's biography notes that he has focused on prosthodontics and implant dentistry since 2008. He serves on a committee of the American Prosthodontic Society, belongs to the Orange County and Tri-County Dental Societies, and lectures nationally and internationally.

Cosmetic care with a specialist's perspective

Appearance, bite, tooth structure, and long-term maintenance are connected. His specialty background supports planning veneers, crowns, bridges, implants, and complex smile rehabilitation as parts of a complete picture.

Why he chose this work

Dr. Pooya describes prosthodontics as a place where deep knowledge meets curiosity and a broad range of care. He especially values seeing a patient smile with confidence again and sharing in that happiness.

At eye level, without pressure

He says his approach is to sit with patients as an educator and a person: listen, get to know what they want, explain different options, and carry out the chosen plan step by step. He does not want a visit to feel like a sales pitch.

The person outside the office

Dr. Pooya shared that he comes from a family of doctors and is a father of three. He speaks English and Farsi and enjoys family time, travel, soccer, movies, art, and calligraphy.
