Fluoride and dental sealants

Two preventive tools that may help protect children's teeth when recommended for their individual risk.

All services

Protect vulnerable surfaces

Sealants cover grooves in back teeth; fluoride varnish helps strengthen tooth surfaces. A dentist can advise whether either is appropriate.

Keep the basics in place

Prevention still includes brushing with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between teeth, healthy habits, and dental visits at intervals chosen for the child.

Before deciding

The office will confirm the treating clinician and any specialist referrals for your individual plan.
